The Missiological Society of Ghana (MSG)/West Africa Missiological Society (WAMS) is organizing its advertised 4th Biennial International Conference as follows:

Dates: October 04 and 05, 2023
Venue: Trinity United Church (TUC: On the Trinity Theological Seminary Campus)
Theme: “Christian Mission, Corruption, and the Church in Africa.”
Time: 9.00 am prompt, each day.

The following are to be noted:

• The Conference is being organized under the distinguished Chairmanship of Archbishop Torto, the Archbishop of the Accra Diocese of the Anglican Church who will chair the Opening Ceremony on October o4, 2023.
• Rev. Professor B. Y. Quarshie, the Rector of the Akrofi-Christaller Institute at Akropong-Akuapem will deliver the Keynote Address.
• The Conference Registration Fee is GHC250.00.
• Members are to pay their annual subscription of GHC100.00 at the Conference ground during the opening ceremony.
• Members and the general public may pay their registration fee and annual subscription fee in the account of the MSG. Payment Details are:

Evangelical Missiological Society (EMS), North American Board has voted to pursue an affiliation with the MSG/WAMS for the next 3 years. They have asked Dr. Enoch Wan to be the liaison between the EMS and MSG.  Ed Smither, the current President and EMS Board envision collaborating with MSG in the following ways:

• Mutually consulting on facilitating missiological conversations. This could be in the form of people like General Secretary (GS) joining us in Dallas for the annual EMS meeting or perhaps EMS members from North America participating in the West African meetings. I hope Dr. Wan might be able to join MSG for the next conference. Also our former President Bob Priest has been cooperating with African missiologists on some projects and he might also have interest in joining MSG for a future conference in Ghana. Since the GS participated with us in Dallas, we invite him to offer his input on how we approach missiology to conduct our conference, and the themes and topics that we address.
• Collaborate on some publications. We would invite our African colleagues to contribute articles to the EMS Occasional Bulletins. I am copying editor Allen Yeh and EMS Publications VP Anthony Casey for this. If the MSG has a publication that some of our members could contribute to, then we could share that as well.
• Sharing information and resources. We can make the mp3 audio files of the EMS 2019 conference available to our West African colleagues. Should MSG colleagues put something online in open source we would love to link to that as well.

In short, the EMS and MSG envisage mutually encouraging one another, sharing resources, and collaborating as they have the opportunity.

The MSG successfully organized its 2^nd Biennial International Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM)—01-03 October, 2019—with theme, “Migration and the Church in Africa: Facing Up to a Contemporary Challenge in Christian Missions.”

The conference was under the distinguished chairmanship of Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah, the former Chairman of the Church of Pentecost in the Trinity United Church (TUC). The following speakers played major roles in making the conference highly successful:

Keynote Speaker: Most Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Asante, Chairman, National Peace Council.

Plenary Speakers:

• Very Rev. Prof. Kwabena Asamoah-gyadu, FGA, President, Trinity Theological Seminary (TTS).
• Rev. Prof. B. Y. Quarshie, Rector, Akrofi-Christaller Institute (ACI), Akuapem-Arkopong.
• Apostle Emmanuel Anim, Principal, Pentecost Seminary, Gomua-Fetteh.

The General Secretary (GS) attended the Evangelical Missiological Society (EMS—North America) Conference—September 13-15, 2019—at the International Linguistic Center, Dallas, TX. The Theme was “Mission Amid Global Crises” with a sampling of tracks as:

• Biblical, Theological Historical Perspectives;
• Global and Strategic Perspectives;
• Arts Perspectives;
• Research Methodology in Missiology;
• Women and Mission Amid Global Crises.

The General Secretary made a presentation titled, “Brain Drain or Gain? Theological and Socio-Economic Analysis of African Migration/Diaspora and Missions in the 21^st Century” during the EMS conference.

The General Secretary, Yaw Attah Edu-Bekoe, published the Revised, Expanded, and Domestic edition of his book, Scattered Africans Keep Gathering: A Case Study of Diaspora Missiology on Ghanaian Migration and Protestant Congregations in the USA by the Missiological Society of Ghana (MSG).

It was launched on September 27, 2019 at the Trinity United Church (TUC) under the distinguished chairmanship of Mr. T. K. Gyau, a private businessman and the CEO of Okuman Co. Ltd.

In April, 2018, the MSG successfully published its maiden compendium titled Rethinking the Great Commission: Emerging African Perspectives. The volume consisted of 11 articles made up of the Presidential Inaugural Address by Rev. Prof. D. N. A. Kpobi, Plenary Address by Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Asante, and nine (9) articles from the presentations from the 2017 Biennial International Conference. It was edited by Prof. Emmanuel K. Asante and Prof. David N. A. Kpobi.
